Office introduction
Realizing the considerable importance of soil analysis in economic development of Pakistan in view, the Govt. of the Punjab established a Soil and Water Testing Laboratory at Dera Ghazi Khan in 1980 which was up gradated in 1997 to Divisional level for rendering valuable advisory service to the farmers for making them familiar with their constraints.
In order to have some idea regarding the effectiveness of soil analysis for the precise use of different fertilizers on normal as well as saline, saline-sodic and sodic soils and to determine the nutritional and water needs of different crops so that the nutritional balance of soils be built up at an adequate level for higher crops obtained in the dynamic system through due consideration to the soil plant water and fertilizer analysis.
