  • Launching of R&I Module
  • Survey and visit of PITB Manager in different wings of Agriculture Secretariat, South Punjab

  • Provision of list of IT Equipment’s by the Manager PITB
  • Training of master trainers by the staff of PITB regarding functioning of R&I Module of EFOAS and further training of staff

Initiation of process for the procurement of IT Equipment, Technical bid is opened on 29th of October 2021

  • Establishment of R&I section in Secretariat and appointment of InCharge R&I section
  • Launching of EFOAS in Agriculture Secretariat
  • Resolution of issues popped up and encountered by different sections of Agriculture Secretariat with the coordination of focal person of PITB  
  • Presently the Agriculture Secretariat is working on EFOAS successfully despite some issues.

SPECIAL RESEARCH TRIALS INITIATED BY AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT SOUTH PUNJAB

  1. A successful intervention adopted at Khanewal to drain rainwater through 4 inch bore to save crops from over irrigation and increase ground water level.
  2. The foliar application of Moringa extracts on different crops which contains different micronutrients which helps in growth of crops.
  3. Use of Jantar, Berseem and their combination in standing cotton as green manuring as a part of the IPM (Applied in wheat results are awaiting).
  4. Impact of Cotton Nursery sowing in polythene bags on different dates In Comparison With Seed Sowing on Cotton insect pests and yield At Cri-Multan During 2023-24.
