Name of the Scheme:Promotion of Mechanized Agriculture for Increasing Crop Productivity
Total Allocation Cost:Rs. 9,987.800 Million
Gestation Period:5 years (2021-22, 2025-26)
Scheme objective:To provide efficient agricultural machines & implements on cost sharing basis to 7285 Agricultural Mechanization Service Providers (Individual Farmers, Mechanization Service Providing Enterprises) for improving agricultural productivity upto 5% of beneficiary farmers;Capacity building of farmers and Service Providers (SPs) for optimum operation & maintenance of agricultural machinery
Scheme Components:Selection of 7285 farmers/ service Providers through balloting for distribution of 56 types of different agricultural machines & implements on cost sharing basis (Govt. 60% : Farmer 40%). The maximum subsidy limit is Rs. 500,000/- per beneficiary.Prequalification of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers and Importers.Recruitment of Project Implementation Support & Monitoring Consultants (PIS&MCs)
Eligibility Criteria for Farmers:Owns a tractor not less than 50 HP (Except Self-Propelled Machinery).Owns/ tenant of agricultural land maximum or less than 25 acres in canal irrigated area and maximum or less than 50 acres in Barani areas.Undertakes to carry out / provide services to other farmers within a time frame of project period on rental basis.Has not applied for provision of machinery and equipment under this scheme from any other Markaz / District in the Punjab.Will get the machinery and implement booked from pre-qualified firms within 10 days of issuance of allotment letter and failure to do so will cause cancellation of financial assistance being offered under the scheme, which will not be challenged in any court of law and the subsidy will be awarded to the next farmer as per merit list.Will not sell or transfer or hand over possession of machinery to any person in any form during first four (04) years.Agrees to get training for one day in operation, troubleshooting / repair and maintenance arranged by Assistant Agricultural Engineer / Assistant Director Agricultural Engineering of concerned District.Will abide by the decision of the allotment committee and will not challenge them in any court of law.

How to Apply:Schedule for submission of applications will be advertised in the press as per requirement by the Director General Agriculture (Field), Punjab Lahore for provision of financial assistance. The applicants will submit applications complete in all respect with an undertaking (on stamp paper of Rs. 100/-) that the applicant meets the eligibility criteria set for the proposed financial assistance. The applications will be received / collected in the office of Assistant Agricultural Engineer (Field) / Assistant Director Agricultural Engineering of concerned district who will maintain record of applicants accordingly.
