The Punjab Government has launched the Kissan Card Scheme to help farmers get easy access to financial support, subsidies, and agricultural services. If you are a farmer in Punjab, this card offers major benefits like interest free loans, discounts on fertilizers and seeds, and direct support from the Agriculture Department.

Once the department receives your Application (through SMS), the following verifications will be conducted for the issuance of Kissan Card:

• Your land record will be verified by PLRA.
• Your CNIC details will be verified by NADRA.
• You will receive an SMS once your card is ready.
• After receiving a call or SMS, visit your nearest Assistant Director (Extension) Agriculture Office to collect your card.
• You will be required to complete biometric verification with bank staff when collecting your card.

After picking up your new Kissan Card, follow these steps to activate it:

• Call the Bank of Punjab (BOP) Helpline at 042-111-333-267 for activation of card, if any further assistance required 24/7 you may also call on this number regarding kissan card.
• Call from the mobile number that is registered in your name.
• The BOP representative will guide you through the activation process and ask for the following details:
  • CNIC Number
  • Your Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Mother’s Name
  • Birth District
  • 16-digit Kissan Card Number

These are the following benefits of the Kissan Card for the farmers of the Punjab province:

• No processing fee to apply.
• Interest-free loans up to Rs. 300,000 per crop season.
• Loan breakdown:
  • 30% of the total limit may be withdrawn as cash for general farming expenses.
  • 20% is locked for the purchase of diesel (Details of registered PSO Pump in Punjab).
  • 50% can be used to purchase seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides from registered vendors / sellers District Wise Registered list is as under: (Fertilizer / Pesticide and seed traders).
• Loans are available for both Rabi and Kharif seasons.
• You have up to 6 months to repay the loan.

If you repay your loan on time, you can apply again for the next season.
